Since my arrival in the United Kingdom, I have been able to regularly visit two of the most important estuaries in the country, the Rivers Taw and Torridge which are evaluated as a Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Observing this huge tidal system moving from one side of the Atlantic to the other has been my inspiration.

Their incoming and outgoing tides allow me to reflect upon the constant transformation of the landscape, with its messages and all that it conveys within the ebb and flow of the tides. It inspires me to create representations of their movement, colours and shapes in my work.
